We are looking for a passionate structural engineer with Grasshopper skills to join our team to design exciting 3D printed reinforced concrete structures and participate in the manufacturing of sustainable concrete structures.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated structural engineer with a few years of industry experience, strong understanding in 3D geometries and proficiency with building codes (Eurocodes, ASTM, etc.). The candidate must be able to use their creativity, curiosity and deep understanding of structural principles to design elements which will then be printed, mechanically tested, and installed on site.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the CoE (Chief of Engineering) to develop the structural design of 3D printed reinforced structures

• Prepare design proposals and presentations for clients and their technical team to explain their engineering design

• Face clients and present technical data

• Liaise with printing team to organize the printing of the candidate’s designs

• Design structural testing methodology and execute the testing of full 1-1 scale printed samples

• Liaise with Hyperion software engineers to incorporate new element designs in Hyperion’s library of 3DCP objects

• Review engineering drawings and codes sent by clients and identify compliance with Hyperion’s structures.

• Flexible to travel internationally for short periods of time to inspect the construction of 3DCP elements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering

• 3-5+ years working in engineering firm as a structural engineer

• Fluent in Rhino and Grasshopper with great 3D modeling and geometry skills

• Fluent in using Structural Analysis software (FEM modelling)
• Capable of producing design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates

• Flexible and adaptive to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

• Ability to demonstrate a methodical and effective approach to projects and deadlines
